Natural edge bowl turned from a piece of very spalted and very ant-infested (once upon a time) maple. The ants were long gone but left a maze of holes and tunnels in their former home. I chose not to fill them with anything on this bowl, but to embrace them as part of the overall character of this piece. I also finished this bowl differently, wet sanding with water-based sanding sealer and finishing with Minwax water-based Polycrylic. The finish is fully cured and food safe but the bowl is suitable for dry goods only
