The Autumn Wood Wizard is on duty, standing sentry in the forest! His body and hat are both turned from maple branches and I left the bark and natural edges – I love that there is lichen on the bark! I turned his nose from butternut and his beard is made of acrylic yarn with a fall color sort of vibe.
All the bits are sanded super smooth and then I apply a durable wax finish.
The nose has a long stem that is pushed through the beard and into a hole drilled into the body and then glued in place.
These guys are sold individually but I have included a photo of several of them together to show how cute they are in groups. The photos are taken sitting on a black acrylic product stand which is not included but gives a better view of the beard and how these look on shelves etc.
