The Warrior is a stocky little fireplug of a Gonk, ready for whatever comes next! His body, helmet, nose, and shield are all turned from butternut, sometimes known as white walnut as they are in the same family. He’s got a skewer spear opposite his shield and I friction burned a line on his hemet to pull out some of the darker grain features in the butternut. His beard is made from acrylic yarn and you probably need him by your side!
All his parts are sanded super smooth and then I apply a durable wax finish.
The nose has a long stem that is pushed through the beard and into a hole drilled into the body and then glued in place.
These guys are sold individually but I have included a photo of several of them together to show how cute they are in groups. The photos are taken sitting on a black acrylic product stand which is not included but gives a better view of the beard and how these look on shelves etc.
